Let's move forward with the 4 black configurations only. As I have stated in at least one of my previous messages, I do favor the black dial, no-date with the "12" numeral index instead of the large inverted triangle which I find too dominating.
The blue dial models should only be made...
Pakz,
I have had more or less the same experience with nighttime positions as described in your message as well. Since all my automatics do gain time over the course of several days to be noticeable, I typically place the watch that is on active-duty overnight at my night table in "12 up"...
The Wraith,
Here is a shot of my SF on my new Zulu from Strap Code for your viewing pleasure.
I am quite happy with the strap as it is comfortable and I can adjust it to fit my wrist profile. the leather strap just does not cut it for doing chores around the house!
It was quite dark...
Wow! 1.5 seconds over a 30-hour period is fantastic. Great job!
There is no point in regulating the movement to any closer to "dead on" because, through time, all movements will tend to slow down which tells the owner that it is time to give it an overhaul.....
There is a timing machine at the...
SuperP,
First off, thanks for your effort on the renderings.
Out of the four configurations, I like both layouts on the lower row which seem to provide the best symmetry. Of the bottom two, I do favour the no-date version.
However, I do respect that a good percentage of fellow...
I voted for version #3 because of the orange minute-hand which could be readily identified during a dive.
Any consideration of the Plongeur hands with an orange minute-hand similar to that for the SF? Just thinking out loud!.....

Hi TheWraith,
I have placed my order a couple of days ago on two NATO/Zulu from the Strap Code: One grey/red, and the second one is thick military green with matte black rings.
Pictures to follow......

SuperP,
Thanks for the lovely renderings.
The bottom-left rendering is the one I like most. That is the no-date version with the "12" o'clock numbered index.

I totally dig a smaller top-of-the-hour inverted triangle with a "12" hour index as well. Additionally, I am all for using the same font for the 12, 3, 6 & 9 hour indices and for the bezel minute indices.
For the first time ever, I will opt for a no-date (black dial, of course) version. :)

Pakz,
Wow! +2 s/d is awesome! A lot of the lower grade ETA-2824s cannot keep time like yours!
Perhaps it does take a new movement a certain period of time to "break in"! I will continue to monitor mine and share with forum members occasionally.
Thanks

jinikari01,
I concur with your comments on not making the bracelet available to keep the cost down. Owners of the BE-300 could always get bracelets of their choice.

ChuckW,
My SF is now at +60 seconds since I zeroed it against my atomic wall clock exactly 7 days ago. This works out to be +8.6 sec./d which makes it on the border line of being acceptable. But I would probably leave mind alone for the time being.
The +14 sec/d would definitely border...
I favour the layout and font size of the hour markers "3". "6" and "9" better for the rendering on the left hand side. In my opinion, it provides better symmetry and proportions all around.
Personally, I would not sacrifice the "3" hour marker to get the date window unless a "12" hour marker is...
Admin.,
It is interesting that the Strap Code mesh bracelet may be considered because just the other night I went into their web store and had my eyes on this very bracelet to go with my White/Plongeur SF. One good thing about this bracelet is that it does provide good fit for a wide range...
TheWraith,
Thanks for getting back to me. For now, I am still looking something that is water resistant like a proper rubber/silicon diver's strap or a two-tone (black/orange) NATO. For now, I am wearing my White/Plongeur with a thick leather strap from my Citizen Grand Touring.
Thanks
CHANT
Here are my two-bits on what I would like to see on an homage to the SM300:
1. I have really skinny wrists but a 41.5 mm diameter case would work for me so long as the overall lug-to-lug dimension is kept between 48.0 and 50.0 mm.
2. Either 20 mm or 22 mm would work so long as the overall feel...
TheWraith,
I am making do with a two year old dark brown leather strap with white stitching for now. I am considering getting either an iso-frame style rubber strap or a SS mesh bracelet.
Please let me know what you ended up getting.
Thanks
CHANT
Okay folks, my White/Plongeur SF had finally arrived two evenings ago. It has gained exactly 16 seconds over the last 48 hours with the watch laid on my night table with the 12 o'clock index in the up-position, both nights. Well, +8 sec/d is not exactly what I would call "regulated" accuracy. A...
Please do not border with a bracelet on a SM300 homage piece to keep the cost down. As most future owners would probably wear theirs on either a high-quality divers rubber/silicon band or a two-tone NATO/Zulu band. Why not supply both NATO and rubber bands! Just a thought!
Anyone care to chime...
