Cool and Crazy all at the same time.
I like it...but I don't think I could sport that.
I'm wondering how Clemens was able to get the striation pattern into the metal like that. Would be really cool to hear how they accomplished it.
Thanks guys. Sorry for the delay. The watch came a couple weeks ago, but between work and the impending holidays, things have been crazy busy that I haven't been able to visit the forums as much ... until today that is. Plus I really didn't want to take ugly Quick and Dirty phone pics.
Anyway...
Not to discuss other brands on the Borealis forum, but I have to comment.
I've seen pictures of Maranez's ver utilizing the same watch case and the Borealis ver blows theirs away by a huge margin. Borealis is taking the time and effort to make the design your own and going the extra mile by...
OMG NOOO. Friggen dishonest people!!
One thing about FEDex over USPS is that USPS doesn't charge for customs here in the states. I'd hate to see that shipping option go.
This is also more of a symptom of Paypal than it is the postal system. Paypal has literally gotten their heads even more up...
I like this a lot. Seems to work only if the 6500ft is taken away and only meter rating is printed.
But definitely orange text for the bottom. I noticed on my Helson Shark Diver that "shark diver" at the top of the dial is in orange, but seems to lack the punch of my Cave Dweller. I think it's...
My feeling is just one row of text. It's really a nice subtle thing that ties things together. I think if all the text was orange it would over do it and negate that little subtle detail.
I voted ver A. I like Ploprof sword style hands, but they seem kind of stubby in this instance. And not to beat a dead horse, but yes agree with everyone else, orange text and no arrow. I had assumed the arrow was there to indicate the top row of text was going to be orange and not actually...
After staring and comparing at the 2 renders, I'm actually liking the non-ploprof handset. The ploprof hand set seem a little stubby for the dial opening size.
This one.
I like the original designs better. The curved hour markers seem to clash with the rest of the hour markers on the dial that are all squared / hard edged.
I don't get this. Add the Breitling logo, a gmt complication, more text on the dial, double the min markers on the chapter ring, more fancy chrome bordered hour markers, chrome bordered date window and the watch goes from ugly to beautiful?
Seems like the original designs are cleaner and easier...
You guys are on a roll!
I'm easy to please. I like the original design with the ploprof hands and the updated one with the new hands equally. I think my preference for the handset would be swayed after seeing side views of the case. IMO, the shape of the case usually lends itself to specific...
Yep. Planning on getting a Yabokies sapphire. Been planning on it for the last 2 years but it always seems like another new watch always gets in the way. LOL...actually the Sea Dragon delayed the sapphire purchase again...haha.
Probably one of the best models Seiko came out with.
I feel fortunate to have picked one up on Amazon for $240 at the time from a grey dealer before it was discontinued.
Funny thing about the Spork was that it wasn't all that popular when it was around. I like many other Seiko fans at the...
