Maria - you said previously that "We have received yesterday samples of the Borealis Estoril 300. Some small refinements to be made mainly in bezel action and crown action but aside from that samples are looking good." Now that these parts have been manufactured for the actual production run, I...
Hi Maria,
I am thinking about trying an after-market steel bracelet with my Estoril when I receive it. Since your husband has a vintage Omega Seamaster 300 and also you have a prototype Estoril - do you know if the Omega end links on the bracelet that fits your husbands watch also match up...
I have ordered a no-date version of the Estoril and have a (stupid) question regarding the time setting.
I know that when a watch has a date you should avoid adjusting the time a couple of hours either side of midnight as this is the period when the date changing mechanism is engaged and...
Yeah - the 1171 is a solid/rolled type bracelet but I think there were different end links depending on the watch model fitted. Minefield!!! That's only off the top of my head though so don't quote me on it either! :-)
I don't think that's what he meant. The 20mm lug witdh is OK, it's whether the radius of the end link on the bracelet will match the radius of the curve on the case and whether the lug bar holes will align properly.
Those watches look fantastic - you've done a great job, well done. Many thanks for putting all those photo's up - like a little Christmas present! Wish all the Borealis family a very Merry Christmas.
I have a fairly small 6.5 inch wrist and don't like large watches that are just too big for me. For what it's worth, I feel that based on the dimensions on the drawings posted earlier in this thread that the Estoril 300 will be fine on my wrist. The bezel diameter is 40.6mm measured across the...
Congratulations on the birth of your son - what a great Christmas present for you and your family. Hope all are healthy and well.
Many thanks for these update photo's - the watch looks fantastic so far. Can't wait for next summer when it's released.
Thanks. The gap I was referring to was to the left of the 45 minute marker on the insert. You can see what looks like a silver coloured gap but looking again this may just be an optical illusion because what is really happening is you are looking through the top surface of the sapphire insert...
Looks really great, I agree the vintage style domed crystal shape really makes it. Can't wait until the final product is ready! :-)
It looks like there is a small gap between the outer edge of the sapphire bezel insert and the edge of the bezel into which it sits. Is this intentional or is...
What finish will be on the hands of the final model? I've been looking at original watches using Google Images and some appear to be polished while others look brushed. The very first page of this thread has a photo of an original with what appears to be a brushed or matte finished hands, will...
Only noticed this watch there now and just read through all the many pages here on this forum. Looks like a fantastic watch. Sick of all the overly-large dive watches made these days, even homages seem to scale things up 10 to 12 percent on what they are paying homage to. So glad this is...
